The commission price for my knitwork is the most variable because the task itself is the most variable. Prices are calculated in a formula based on $/inches/number of stitches in a row (determined by the type of yarn used). Warmers are knit in the round on US size 13 double-pointed needles, except in designs with discriminate shapes, which will be knit flat and sewn together. I will knit using either Lion Brand's Homespun yarn or Red Heart's Classic yarn, determined by commissioner's request and color availability. Similar weight yarns may be substituted, and specialty yarns may be mixed in to add texture. (Extensive use of specialty yarns will have an effect on the final commission price).
The open ends of my knitwork are finished with several inches of ribbing (knit2, purl2) to prevent the piece from curling in on itself. Commissioner specifies knit side out or purl side out for the project.
For an added fee, I can install elastic in the tops of the warmers and the bottoms of the legwarmers, to help hold them up and to keep them anchored in place over shoes. Elastic length is determined by the measurements you give me, so inaccurate measurements may result in ill-fitting elastic.
I can knit warmers that will bunch up in the ankles (often used for kittens), or scrunch. This will add length to your warmers, and hence the cost, but allows for comfortable and adjustable wearing options.
Arm warmers can be knit either with a slit for the thumb to go through or with a loop on the end to slide a finger through. Legwarmers will be knit with a tapered portion over the shoe to disguise the transition from ankle to foot.

TAILS : $12 base fee +$1/inch
SNAP : $3
Tails are created using a combination of Lion Brand's Homespun yarn and Red Heart's Classic yarn, as well as mixed in scraps of fabric and specialty yarns for added texture and interest.
Tails are constructed using methods that mimic the results seen in Broadway and German productions. The tail belt continues without pause from the base of the tail, ending in a loop through which the tail can fit to close the belt around your waist. For an additional $3, a large (size 4) snap will be hand-sewn onto the base of the tail (both parts included). The corresponding snap part can be sewn onto a costume to prevent the tail from swinging around to the front.

SHOE PAINTING : $10
Shoes are painted with a combination of Jacquard Textile Inks and Jacquard Dye-na-flow according to color specifications. I ask that you please send me the shoes after trying them on to make sure they fit you right. Shoes are one of the few things that I would rather not buy on your behalf.
COLLARS : $25
Collars are constructed by me using cut-to-order leather strips and any assortment of spikes and rivets. Let me know what you're looking for, and I'll do my best to provide! I have access to a variety of spike shapes and lengths, rivet styles and colors, and leather dyes and buckles.
